Adding a New GL Interface Record

Technical Tip

All the accounts you enter in the GL Interface master file must already be setup in the Micronet General Ledger (MGL) (refer to "File - GL Accounts").

To add a GL interface record to the GL Interface master file:

Open the Change GL Interface screen.

Refer to "Opening the GL Interface Master File".

Select FILE | NEW.

Micronet displays the Change GL Interface screen in Add Mode.

Complete the following fields:

	Field	Value
	GL Interface No	Enter a unique ID for the GL interface record you are adding. The standard GL interface record recognised by Micronet is TOTAL.

Technical Tip

This corresponds to selecting the Total option in any of the dissection categories on the Config GL Interface screen (refer to "Edit - General Ledger Config - Distribution Interface").
Every MDS system that is integrated with MGL must have a TOTAL interface record.

Description

Enter a description for the GL interface record. For example, for the TOTAL interface record, you might enter "MDS to GL Interface".

Setup the GL interface record for each procedure conducted in MDS by selecting EDIT and then selecting one of the following menu options:

SALES – refer to "Edit - Sales"
TAX AND GST – refer to "Edit - Tax and GST"
PURCHASING AND STOCK – refer to "Edit - Purchasing and Stock"
DEBTORS – refer to "Edit - Debtors"
KIT – refer to "Edit - Kit"
DISCOUNTS – refer to "Edit - Discounts"
DUTY AND EXCISE – refer to "Edit - Duty and Excise"
CREDIT CARD FEE – refer to "Edit - Credit Card Fee".

Select FILE | SAVE.
